Welcome to this course on Introduction To Design Thinking.
Design has much impact in our daily life whether or not we are aware of it. Design influences how we think, feel and the decision that we make. Speaking at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)’s Ministerial Forum in April 2018, PM Lee Hsien Loong talked about the importance of design thinking in the development of Singapore.
“Singapore is a nation by design. Nothing we have today is natural, or happened by itself… not our economic growth, not our international standing, not our multiracial harmony, not even our nationhood.” Prime Minister Lee (PMO, 5 April 2018).
This introductory Journey on Design Thinking will allow learners to explore the following elements:

- Emphatise and Insights Gathering
- Define, Needs identification and Persona
- Ideation
- Prototype
- Test & Wrap-up (of the Design Thinking course)
